This is the untold story of why the City of Long Beach decided to buy the Queen Mary and how they went about acquiring her. Also included is the amazing last voyage - some 40 days from South Hampton, around the tip of South America, with Royalty and Movie Stars aboard and the spectacular entrance into Long Beach Harbor greeted by hundreds of boats, helicopters, planes, blimps, and thousands of thrilled spectators.

After more than three years of re-hab the great ship is finally towed to its permanent place on Pier J.
